It’s possible you’ve heard that Jonathan Kent is being recast. Starting with the upcoming third season of the CW’s Superman and Lois, Michael Bishop will take over the role of Jonathan Kent from Jordan Elsass. Former star appears to be mentally unstable and may permanently retire from show business. In my opinion, it’s for the best that he didn’t wait until he was too ingrained in the role to make that decision, as it would have been more challenging to integrate his replacement into the show otherwise. To be honest, I have no idea how Micheal Bishop will perform in the role, but we will find out soon enough.
Although we didn’t get much of a chance to witness Jordan Elsass in the role of Jonathan Kent, we are curious to see how Michael Bishop fares in the part. It’s probably for the best that he only lasted two seasons in the part. I hadn’t heard of either of those actors until Superman and Lois. Both of them, I’m guessing, are fresh faces in the entertainment industry. I’m crossing my fingers that Michael Bishop can replicate the success of the previous star in the role. It was strange that only one of Superman’s sons inherited his abilities. Actually, it helps keep the TV show from becoming too one-sided. I have heard that Jordan Elsass’s departure from the show was due to mental health issues. I, for one, am curious about the why, and so I intend to seek out a live interview in which he discusses the matter. Whatever he does with his life, I hope he finds happiness and success.
