The motto everything is just a buck doesn’t hold up anymore for the dollar tree. As of now, they have raise their prices to 1.25 for some of their goods. As to how this will affect their business remains to be seen as of yet. I found out about It when I went to stock up on my snacks one day, I was shocked by it. Even though the lady at the check-out lane said they still have 1.00 items I have yet to see anything for just a buck yet and I look too. I have already heard customers complaining too about it.
The big question for me is how can they still keep the dollar tree name now? With their prices seeming to go up shouldn’t they rename their store to something else? The name dollar tree seems to be misleading now. And you can see why there are some angry customers now. Even though the dollar tree is still cheaper then most places, the name is still kind of misleading. To me when you brand yourself you should really stick to that brand if you want to keep your shoppers happy.
